22 Minutes Trifecta: November, January, and March!
My newest short play about the 2006 Second Lebanon War, 22 Minutes Remaining, has been chosen for no less than three separate public readings.
The Dominican University One-Act Fringe Festival of Marin will be presenting my play as part of its 20th season of new shorts and solo pieces. Bay Area playwrights, directors, and actors will be competing for the Bay Area Theatre Critics' Best Play, Actors and Directors awards in November of 2007!
Following in the new year is the ReOrient Theatre Festival, produced by Golden Thread Productions, set for January of 2008. For the last 6 years, Golden Thread has explored the fertile frictions and volatile fictions that thrive in the imaginary line imposed between the West and the Mideast. The company has received local and national acclaim not only for the character, but the caliber, of their work.
Ross Alternative Works, a developmental project at Ross Valley Players, will present a reading of 22 Minutes with other short plays on March 23, 2008.
The Ross Valley Players is the oldest continually operating community theater on the West Coast, founded in 1930. Their newly revived staged readings program provides exposure to alternative works by up-and-coming and esoteric authors.
Exciting news! Stay here for more updates as they develop.
